This is our first Cleavr Slice newsletter of 2022 and we are excited about what we have planned to accomplish this year!
Let's highlight what we've been up to since the last newsletter -
Manage firewall port settings from the server's services section. UFW is also now included as a service so that you can stop, start, restart UFW as well as view it's heartbeat, including current port configurations.
Be sure to pay close attention to our release notes as we now have a Feature Lab where we'll make new features we're working on and testing available for early access. Just let us know if you see a feature you'd like to have enabled for your account. In the future, we'll open this up for self-service.
On the dashboard and server lists, from the server's ellipsis icon, there is now the menu option to Clean Disk Space. If you notice your server running low on disk space, use this option to do some house cleaning. You can also schedule cleanup jobs to run automatically.
Sometimes you just want to get to your site quickly without having to drill down into a server. We've added sites as a top-level navigation item to reduce those unnecessary clicks.
Want to host your own Git repo? You can now install GitLab EE on a 'plain' server from the services section. You can also create a GitLab Self-Hosted VC profile to connect to your self-hosted GitLab EE instance.
One of our New Year's resolutions is to make it easier to know why something errors out. We've added error messaging to site creation and SSL certification to make it more clear what is going on. We plan on adding friendlier errors to backup jobs next!
If you're using Cleavr in a team setting, you've likely been salivating over the ability to collaborate with team members in Cleavr. We're getting down to the final testing for the teams feature and will soon be available in the Feature Lab!
We've integrated with Oracle Cloud to make spinning up and managing their free servers easier. We're limiting the integration to their free server option and this is currently available in the Feature Lab and will be made available to all users soon!
It's no secret that developers are constantly looking for new ways to maximize their terminal experience. Warp is looking to supercharge your productivity with powerful text editing, command completion suggestions, displaying a visual history of commands, and team collaboration.
